Exhibit A for why:

Tom Wilson is a dirty player who is rewarded by Barry Trotz for being a dirty player. That hit (which was illegal) ended the Islanders’ defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky’s NHL career (and ended the Isles playoff run that year). It doesn’t matter that I’m an Islanders fan. That crap doesn’t belong in the NHL, but certain players and certain teams get away with goonery because Gary Betteman wants the NHL to turn into the NBA. Tom Wilson doesn’t deserve a fucking Stanley Cup.

I happen to like Alexandr Ovechkin and Niklas Backstrom. But the Capitals? Screw them, to hell with Tom Wilson, and I’m glad the NHL offseason starts on Friday.
